Invented Games

TAWID KALAMANSI

(Most Haggard Game)

Reflections:
a.) The game was very tiring since there were lots of mechanics. Fast reaction time was needed because the game was fast-paced. I was so exhausted after the game since I had to crawl under my teammates' legs and run afterwards from the right to the left and vice versa. And I also got bruises on my knees!

b.) My classmates were about to complain since there were lots of mechanics which made the game more complicated. I think they were also complaining about crawling because we might get bruised which was exactly what happened to me. But I guess they had a lot of fun running around from side to side. It was fun because it came to a point when it was almost chaotic which was where the fun of the game is.

c.) If I were the reporter, I won't add the use of the paper to the variation of the game. I think the variations given were fine except for the fact that we have to walk on the paper. The game became very complicated.

d.) I think everyone was on equal footing on this game. I didn't see a particular MVP of the game since everyone was so out of order. :)

TASA NA MAY TSAA
(Most Violent and Wet Game)

Reflections:
a.) The game became very violent. My face was actually hit by an elbow. I was so competitive that I wouldn't allow our opponent to enter our "cup." I dragged my group mates with me and I pushed our opponents away. It was fun although it got a little bit physical but I know that it was all for fun. :)

b.) Everyone was so competitive! The game got a little bit harsh because everyone was getting dragged or hit. Some also got wet since there was a bottle of water involved. I think everyone had fun playing the game. I would say that this game was one of the most memorable invented games that our class had played.

c.) I really liked the variation that was introduced to us so I prefer the same variation. I especially liked the use of water in one of the variation. It was fun!

d.) I think the MVP for this game was Al since he was so competitive. I think he was the one who unintentionally hit my face with his elbows. But it was alright. Even if he was the only one among his team members to attack our group, he was successful in penetrating our "cup."

LUKSONG TIBAK
(Longest Game to Play)

Reflections:
a.) At first I was confused with the directions given. I was the first player on the line so when I got confused, everyone on our team followed my lead which we discovered was wrong. So, we had a trial so that we'll know what we have to do. The game was very long to play since everyone must jump above each other's feet and then go to the back and then solve the word and butt-spell it afterwards. After that, you have to jump above each other's feet again until one of you reached the finish line. It was so time-consuming but fun.

b.) My classmates I think felt the same way. We were all so anxious to finish each of the mechanics of the game since there were a lot. But we all had fun while doing it.

c.) I liked their variation especially the one where we have to dance every after a jump. It was funny. Although some didn't take the dancing seriously, some did and it was so funny to watch.

d.) I think the MVP was still Al since he was the one in our team who always got to solve the word needed.

MAY BIHAG!
(Most Chaotic Game)

Reflections:
a.) Although I was a reporter, I was asked to play so that we will achieve the number of players needed for this game. It was fun. I think that the history of the game was pretty funny and very recent. It was fun when the "it" says "RAMPAGE!" and I panic because I'm confused whether I'd be a kulungan or bihag. It was fun because it was so chaotic but the chaos was part of the game.

b.) I think my classmates also think it was fun. Everyone just panics every time the "it" says "Rampage!". It's very chaotic in a good way. Fast reaction time was really what was needed in this game so that everyone can comprehend immediately whether he be a kulungan, bihag or the "it".

c.) Since I was really the reporter for this game, I won't change the variations given. I stand by the variations that we reported.

d.) I think there was no MVP since everyone panicked but all had fun.

GABI SA MUSEO
(Most Creative Game)

Reflections:
a.) I'm not really sure of the name of the game but I surely remembered how we played it. I just find the game very creative since we have to pose like statues. Aside from the creative poses, there was also an element of shock because before I knew it, I was already tagged.

b.) There was this one classmate of ours who made such difficult poses like back-bending and other bone-bending stunts that only her could do. That was actually a very nice technique. Too bad I'm not that flexible. Others were also unaware that they should run already so they ended up getting tagged. It was a lot of fun and a breath of fresh air. It was a totally new game for me.

c.) If I were a repoter, I'd ask the players to make a certain dance move instead of making static poses. I think that would be a lot more fun. :)

d.) I think the MVP was Eynes since she was the one who made the strange poses. :)

5 Most Memorable Philippine Games

BIHAGAN
(Most Brutal Game)
Date: June 11, 2010

Reflections:
a.) I felt very excited while playing this game since we played this game on the first day. I was so excited and full of energy especially because it involves tagging the opponent team which is the kind of game I used to play in my childhood.

b.) I think my classmates felt the same way that I did. The only difference is that they were so violent! I even remembered one of my classmates carrying Ma'am Jo all the way to their line. It was insane! I am actually one of those who tried to prevent the other team from carrying Ma'am Jo since we were on the same team. I pulled her arm so that she won't be carried but the next thing I knew she was lying on the floor on the opponent's line. It was so hilarious! Ma'am Jo even mentioned the next meeting that her body ached the next day after we played that game but it was so much fun although we got a bit physical.

c.) If I were the reporter, my variation would be that when an opponent is tagged, he will automatically become a member of the team that caught him and he can now tag his former groupmates.

d.) I think the MVP for this game was Ma'am Jo since she was so good in tagging people. She was an expert although she was caught in the end since one of my classmates carried her all the way to their line. But she was a good sport.

NIGHT OR DAY
(Most Nerve-Racking Game)
Date: July 7, 2010

Reflections:
a.) I was so anxious of what side of the slippers wil come out. It was so nerve-racking and confusing! I was so confused of whether we were the one who will tag the other team or whether we should run to our team's side but it was so much fun. The excitement of the game lies in waiting anxiously for the slipper to drop on the floor and know what side of the slipper shows.

b.) We were all so anxious and tensely waiting for the slipper to land. We were all so confused. There was even this one time where one of my classmates tagged an opponent although she was the one that must be tagged. It was a funny moment.

c.) I really liked the variation that was introduced to us so I prefer the same variation.

d.) I think there was no MVP since everyone was so confused of whether to tag or run. But it was so much fun and nerve-racking!

KARERA NG ITLOG
(Most Funny Variation)
Date: July 9, 2010

Reflections:
a.) It was a bit easy for me since I played this game a lot of times already. I was very familiar with this game. What made it super fun for me was when the variation was added. The variation was so hilarious! When they told us the variation, I even thought that they were joking. We looked like a bunch of chickens flapping our wings. We looked so ridiculous but it was so fun!

b.) My classmates were all laughing while we were playing. It was so much fun even if we were looking very ridiculous.

c.) If I were a reporter, my variation would be that the players would have to pick two or three objects from the ground while they have an egg in the spoon on their mouth.

d.) I think everyone was an MVP for this game. Everyone did well and had fun at the same time.

AGAWAN NG PANYO
(The Game that I Played Well)
Date: July 21

Reflections:
a.) I felt really good about this game. I moved so fast that I always got to get the handkerchief. I was always able to outrun my opponent. Actually, the bulk of our team's score was because of me but I was also glad that the group in which I belong have competitive members. It was so much fun.

b.) I think my classmates also think it was fun. There was so much shouting here and there. Games that really involve running makes my classmates very hyperactive.

c.) If I were a reporter, my variation would be that once a player is tagged without getting on their team's side, he will automatically become a prisoner of the other group. Her teammates can either choose to get the handkerchief first or his teammte that was imprisoned by the opponent. If he successfully got his teammate back, they also get a point.

d.) I think the MVP was me since I ran very fast and the bulk of our score was because of me.

BERONG-BERONG
(Most Exhausting Game)
Date: July 23, 2010

Reflections:
a.) I was so exhausted while playing this game. There was this instance during the game that Bey was the one in front of the line and she was trying to tag me the entire time that we were playing so I kept on running and running. Luckily, I wasn't able to get caught. It was so much fun! I want to try it again although I was so exhausted afterwards. The variation was also very exhausting. We were asked to run like a chicken but we looked more like a frog.

b.) Everyone was so exhausted to the point that we were all stuck in one place and we were not moving from there since it was very exhausting.

c.) If I were a repoter, I'd ask the players to hop than run in a frog's position since it was so exhausting!

d.) I think I was the MVP since I wasn't tagged even though I was the target the entire time.
